Joshua Bernstein is a partner in the Litigation Practice Group. His practice focuses on litigation within the real estate and hospitality sectors. Josh assists hotel owners and operators, commercial property owners, lenders, developers, commercial and restaurant tenants, general contractors and subcontractors, and high-net-worth individuals in connection with their real estate and hospitality investments. He represents clients in state and federal courts at both the trial and appellate level, as well as in arbitration and mediation proceedings in the U.S. and internationally. Josh has handled a broad array of disputes, including those involving the acquisition and development of real property, the operation and management of hotels, complex real estate and hospitality financing, commercial leases, and construction. Many of his cases have had long-term legal and business implications. In particular, Josh has litigated several cases that shaped the law regarding the termination of hotel management and operations contracts, a topic closely monitored by industry executives.
