Josh Grabel is a partner in Lewis Roca Rothgerber Christie’s Litigation practice group. His practice concentrates on class action defense, antitrust, RICO, insurance defense, state and local public procurement law, construction litigation, and other complex commercial matters. He represents clients in federal and state courts, before local, state and federal agencies, and at private mediations and arbitrations. Josh has served as lead counsel for numerous multi-million dollar cases before state and federal courts, and on public bid protests before local, state, and federal agencies. Josh works diligently with his clients to understand his clients’ goals and develop a litigation strategy focused on their objectives.

Josh’s class action and complex and insurance-related defense experience involves a spectrum of issues including defending a number of companies against alleged violations of Federal antitrust and RICO statutes to defending against claims brought under state common law across the country.

Josh’s public procurement experience has a primary focus on public bid procedures, bid protests, contract administration and other issues related to interaction with government entities, primarily on the state and local levels in both Arizona and New Mexico. Josh has also worked with the Arizona Department of Administration in addressing proposed changes to Arizona’s Administrative Code.

Josh's construction litigation experience includes representing owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, design professionals, insurance companies, and lenders in litigation, negotiations, arbitration, and mediation matters involving public and private projects.

He has represented companies in preparing construction claims, calculation and proof of damages, surety rights, lien and bond claims, licensing and registration requirements, architect and engineer liability, administrative law, insurance risk and coverage matters, and bankruptcy, and contract construction.
