Joshua Anderson is a business litigation associate in the firm’s Newport Beach office. Josh focuses his practice on all aspects of business litigation, such as representing clients on matters involving breaches of contract, contract interpretation, tort liability (such as negligence, fraud, and strict liability), breaches of fiduciary duty, unfair competition, misappropriation of trade secrets, alter ego liability, partnership disputes, and other related causes of action. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in California state and federal courts.

Beginning his career litigating highly-complex family law matters before practicing exclusively in civil litigation, Josh’s diverse background allows him to handle every case and client with focus and creative problem solving in all phases of litigation. He has been the lead attorney in numerous contentiously litigated matters that resulted in successful outcomes for his clients concerning issues such as business valuations, transfers of ownership, ownership disputes, and evaluations of cash flow. Coupled with his experience representing clients in matters of all sizes, he offers effective legal strategies tailored to suit each situation’s needs.

Josh performed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, and graduated cum laude from Loyola Law School - Los Angeles, where he was ranked in the top 10% of his graduating class. He is a member of the Order of the Coif and was on the Dean’s Honor List for the 2010-2011 academic year.

While in law school, Josh served as an extern in the Center For Conflict Resolution, where he received his mediation certification under the Dispute Resolution Programs Act. Josh also received “First Honors,” for achieving the highest mark amongst his peers, in five courses:
