Julian Petty is a partner in our Intellectual Property Counseling and Transactions practice group based in our Los Angeles office. With extensive experience in the entertainment industry, Julian provides strategic career and business guidance to a variety of talent and corporate clients in music, TV, film, new media and book publishing.

Julian is recognized for his talents as a proactive deal maker and industry leader in helping clients “cross over” from one area of entertainment into another.

Prior to joining NP, Julian was a partner in a national law firm and helped establish their media and entertainment practice group. Before his law career, Julian was a manager in the community products and programming group for America Online, Inc., where he effectively managed programming and product integration of several interactive areas on the AOL service.

His passion for protecting the rights of the creative community originated during his first college internship at Def Jam Records.
