Karen Harriger Currie

Karen Currie practices in the area of multistate taxation, with emphasis on the state and local tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, and reorganization of businesses. She regularly advises clients on multistate income, franchise, sales, and other tax issues and assists clients with audit defense, negotiated settlements, and other controversy and compliance matters. Karen has significant experience with nexus, unitary combined and consolidated reporting, and apportionment issues. She has represented and advised clients in a wide range of industries, including real estate, manufacturing, distribution, retail, oil and gas, technology, and health care.

Karen regularly writes and speaks at seminars and conferences on a variety of state tax topics. She is a member of the editorial board and a contributing author for RIA's Business Entities Journal and The Journal of Multistate Taxation and Incentives.

Karen is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the State Bar of Georgia, the American Bar Association, and the Dallas Bar Association.
