Kate Hillier is a member of the Technology Transactions and Life Sciences groups, specializing in commercial transactions for biotechnology, medical device, pharmaceutical and healthcare companies.
Dr. Hillier provides advice to companies and investors in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device and medical and health care technology sectors on a broad range of corporate and commercial issues including: Drafting and negotiating licensing, development and commercialization collaborations, Supply, clinical development and service agreements throughout a company’s life cycle, Intellectual property aspects of corporate M&A transactions, The conduct of due diligence on target IP portfolios.
Dr. Hillier is a qualified anesthesiologist with a strong background in pharmacology and physiology. She previously worked as a consultant in anesthesiology and intensive care in the UK and was a member of her hospital’s Ethics Committee, which involved the evaluation of clinical drug trials.
Prior to joining the firm, Dr. Hillier also advised clients in relation to an array of non-contentious and IP litigation matters in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and telecommunications sectors.
