Katherine Bell is a partner in the Finance and Restructuring practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Orange County office.

Ms. Bell has been recognized as a leading finance lawyer, being named by Chambers USA to the “Up and Coming Finance Lawyer of the Year” shortlist in 2012. Chambers USA has noted that Ms. Bell is “a great lawyer,” who is “very smart, detail-oriented, hard-working, doesn’t cut corners and is a pleasure to work with.” In addition to directory recognition, Ms. Bell’s article, “Women in Commercial Finance: Growing Our Ranks” was published in the industry periodical, The Secured Lender.

Her practice focuses on commercial and corporate finance transactions, asset-based lending, subordinated debt financings and other lending transactions. Ms. Bell regularly represents commercial banks, investment banks, finance companies, other lenders, and borrowers in acquisition financings, structured financings, and other leveraged finance transactions including leveraged buyouts, restructurings, and recapitalizations. Ms. Bell has significant experience negotiating intercreditor relationships, including 1st Lien/2nd Lien transactions and unitranche “A/B” transactions. She has industry experience in a variety of business sectors and has considerable experience in cross-border transactions.
