Katherine Barrett focuses her litigation practice on medical malpractice, personal injury, transportation, toxic tort and employment matters. She has defended malpractice suits on behalf of physicians, hospitals and other health care professionals from case inception through trial or settlement. Katherine has tried cases in the state courts of Virginia, Maryland, Kentucky, Georgia and Tennessee.

Katherine excels in trial preparation, including depositions, selection of expert witnesses and client-centered strategies for early resolution. She has developed strong skills in the areas of drafting and arguing dispositive motions in state and federal court, and direct and cross examination of witnesses, as well as devising and preparing appellate briefs.
