Kathleen D. Lynott

Katie Lynott's practice focuses on intellectual property litigation, representing clients in patent and copyright infringement cases, as well as matters involving claims of unfair competition, trespass, interference, and breach of contract. She has provided service to numerous corporate clients in the various stages of litigation, including pleading, discovery, motion practice, trial, and appeals. Katie has significant experience with e-discovery matters, including data collection and processing, and has led various contract attorney reviews. She has a broad range of litigation experience, including drafting motions, conducting legal research and analysis, taking and defending depositions, working with consultants and expert witnesses, assisting in internal investigations, and preparing for trial, including compiling and managing trial exhibits, preparing jury materials, and outlining witness examination. Her jury trial experience includes a month-long trial in federal district court, as well as being a core member of a trial team in the Eastern District of Virginia (the "Rocket Docket"). Katie also has worked on pro bono matters, representing victims of domestic violence seeking restraining orders and child support.

While attending law school, Katie interned at the Office of the Attorney General, California DOJ, in the Correctional Law Division, working on cases brought by state prisoners for alleged constitutional violations. While in college, she volunteered for a local court program, assisting pro se litigants with civil disputes.
