Kelly O'Donnell represents clients in federal and state courts in San Diego and throughout California. He has experience with commercial disputes, antitrust and unfair competition, credit reporting under federal and state laws, product liability, health care, trade secret misappropriation, and patent litigation, often in complex multiparty or multijurisdictional actions. Kelly is experienced in all aspects of civil litigation and regularly handles motion practice, depositions, expert witnesses, and trial preparation. He also has won victories for clients in appellate matters.

Kelly also represents clients in criminal and civil government and internal investigations involving possible violations of federal laws such as the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, the False Claims Act, and the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. Kelly has experience defending clients in qui tam actions, responding to subpoenas, and preparing grand jury and trial witnesses.

In his pro bono practice, Kelly has obtained successful results at both the trial and appellate levels. In 2010, he received the State Bar of California Wiley W. Manuel award for his work representing a Somali individual seeking asylum in the United States. In 2011, he was named in The Daily Transcript as one of the top young attorneys in San Diego.
