Kenneth A. Glowacki Jr. is a senior associate in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher's Orange County office. He is currently practicing in the firm's Business Restructuring and Reorganization Group and in the firm's Corporate and Litigation Departments.
In his practice, Mr. Glowacki has been extensively involved in representing corporate clients including Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc., LPA Properties, L.P., Angus Petroleum Corporation, Ducommun Aerostructures, Inc., Lockheed Martin Corporation, Allergan, Inc., Indian Motorcycle, Corp., Flowserve US, Inc., Remedy Temp, Inc., and Young's Market Co. in transactional matters, bankruptcy-related litigation (including avoidance actions, claims litigation, etc.), and other federal and state court litigation.
Mr. Glowacki has developed an expertise in creditor representations. He has represented LPA Properties, L.P. (largest secured creditor), Trinity Investments (largest secured creditor), Alexander Communities, Inc. (largest unsecured creditor), and Johnson & Johnson (largest unsecured creditor) as creditor's counsel in Ninth Circuit bankruptcy cases, as well as BMC Software, Inc., The Irvine Company, Applied Materials, Inc. and the Community College League of California as creditors' counsel in connection with Enron and other out-of-circuit bankruptcy-related matters.
Mr. Glowacki's practice also focuses on the debtor-side of corporate restructuring. He has been extensively involved with Gibson Dunn's representation of Fleetwood Enterprises, Inc., Almatis, Inc., Scotia Pacific LLC, House2Home, Inc., E-M-Solutions, Inc., McCurdy Circuits, Inc., and Advanced Tissue Sciences, Inc. as debtor's counsel. Mr. Glowacki has also been involved in the firm's representation of Richard M. Kipperman, the chapter 7 trustee for the bankruptcy estates of Commercial Money Center and Commercial Servicing Corporation.
In 2001, Mr. Glowacki earned a Juris Doctor, cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Loyola of Los Angeles Law School. He was a staff writer on the Loyola Law Review and received the First Honors Award for the highest grade in Administration of Criminal Justice; Legal Research and Writing; Ethical Lawyering; and Secured Transactions in Personal Property.
Mr. Glowacki graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA with a B.A. degree in Economics. While at UCLA, Mr. Glowacki was a Distinguished Scholar, a Regents Scholar, and an Alumni Scholar. He was also awarded departmental highest honors and college honors.
Mr. Glowacki has been admitted to practice before the courts of the State of California, the United States District Court for the Central, Southern and Northern Districts and the United States Court of Appeal for the Ninth Circuit.
