Kevin D. Boyce

Kevin Boyce's practice focuses on product liability and complex litigation. He has particular experience with jury trials involving highly sensitive claims of personal injury and wrongful death. He has obtained favorable verdicts in multiple high-risk cases and served as lead trial counsel for clients in state and federal courts around the U.S. Currently, Kevin serves as lead counsel for R.J. Reynolds in several of the Engle progeny cases in Florida. In addition to coordinating the defense in hundreds of the progeny cases, he is one of the attorneys to have secured outright defense verdicts in these cases. Recently, Kevin defended a multimillion dollar case in Ft. Lauderdale that resulted in an unanimous defense verdict, a result that followed more than 10 defeats for tobacco defendants in that court.

Kevin also has in-depth experience with product defect and consumer fraud class actions and represents clients in connection with government investigations arising under the Consumer Product Safety Act and the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. His other representations include Goodrich, Harsco, H&R Block, Mattel, Parker Hannifin, and Procter & Gamble in connection with a variety of business litigation and strategic planning matters. Kevin recently helped Goodrich and Parker Hannifin reach favorable resolutions of complex commercial contract issues and assisted Procter & Gamble in reaching a satisfactory resolution of nationwide consumer litigation. In the past, he secured a defense verdict for Nextel Communications in an action brought by affiliates of Sprint Corporation and helped defend complex litigation involving allegations of e-coli infection and permanent injuries to children.
