Trial and litigation attorney Kevin R. Feldis is the former First Assistant United States Attorney in Alaska. His practice focuses on complex litigation, government investigations, cybersecurity, corporate compliance and risk management, environmental law, False Claims Act, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), international business and global anti-corruption. After 18 years litigating and supervising cases at the U.S. Department of Justice, Kevin has extensive courtroom, trial and appellate experience, as well as a wealth of knowledge about corporate investigations and how prosecutorial decisions are made. Kevin is also a seasoned negotiator, and has significant international law and diplomatic experience, having worked with the U.S. State Department as the DOJ Legal Advisor at the U.S. Embassies in both Azerbaijan and Indonesia.
During his career, Kevin has handled matters that affect a diversity of industries, including financial, technology, communications, transportation, healthcare, maritime, oil & gas, manufacturing, fishing, timber and tourism. He has also worked on cases with every division of the DOJ, including the Criminal Division, Civil Division, Environmental and Natural Resources Division and Tax Division. He has also worked with nearly every federal agency with regulatory or enforcement authority. As a member of the DOJ Criminal Chiefs Working Group, DOJ’s Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property attorney network, DOJ’s Environmental Crimes Policy Committee and National Security Cyber Specialist Network, Kevin helped create national policy on a wide range of issues and collaborated with attorneys from many U.S. Attorney’s offices throughout the country.
Kevin is as comfortable working in Juneau as he is in Jakarta, Seattle or Washington D.C., and all the places in between. He has handled matters on multiple continents and with people of diverse cultures. Kevin began his career as a legal assistant in New York, then served as a law clerk in federal District Court in Chicago, and later worked as a litigation associate in Washington D.C. While with the Department of Justice, Kevin was twice selected to serve overseas as the DOJ Legal Advisor assigned to assist foreign regulatory and enforcement agencies on cyber, anti-corruption, money laundering and environmental issues that have broad implications on national governments and international business.
