Kirby Behre is a partner in the Litigation practice of Paul Hastings and is based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office. Over the course of his career, Mr. Behre has developed a wide range of experience, from the corporate boardroom to the courtroom. He represents companies and individuals in government investigations, criminal prosecutions, and regulatory matters nationwide, and also in complex civil business litigation. Mr. Behre is a former federal prosecutor and an accomplished trial lawyer who has tried more than 50 cases before a jury. A nationally-recognized authority on business crimes, he has co-authored Federal Sentencing for Business Crimes (Lexis-Nexis), as well as Responding to Corporate Criminal Investigations (BNA).

Mr. Behre’s experience includes cases involving antitrust and cartel activity; the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; banking; securities; and government contracts. He has been recognized as a leading white collar criminal defense and government investigations lawyer by Chambers USA: American’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Mr. Behre has argued appeals before the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, the Second Circuit, and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.
