Kirsten Hicks Spira

Kirsten Hicks Spira litigates a variety of matters at the trial and appellate levels. She has represented clients in complex business, employment, entertainment, professional liability and shareholder disputes in both first- and second-chair roles at trials, arbitrations and governmental administrative hearings.

Ms. Spira has handled a wide array of complex matters, including breach of contract, business torts, entertainment disputes, corporate governance, CERCLA and almost every other type of civil dispute.

In addition to complex business disputes, Ms. Spira has successfully litigated the gamut of issues raised in employment litigation, including those involving wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour claims.

On numerous occasions, she has represented law firms accused of breaching ethical duties of loyalty and/or duties of candor to their clients.

Ms. Spira is involved in various community service programs. She has judged moot court at UCLA, acted as an assistant coach for a Constitutional Rights Foundation middle school team and has long been actively involved in improvement programs for school and public libraries. In addition, Ms. Spira has regularly partnered with the Alliance for Children’s Rights to assist with adoptions of foster children by foster parents.
