Kurt Pankratz counsels clients on a wide variety of matters touched by intellectual property issues, helping them protect and extract value from their knowledge-based assets. His experience ranges broadly across litigation and transactional matters.
Mr. Pankratz devotes a substantial portion of his practice to resolving intellectual property disputes, from pre-litigation investigations and negotiations through all phases of litigation. He has courtroom experience in patent litigation, including lead roles at Markman hearings and trials.
Mr. Pankratz also has extensive experience facilitating business transactions and settlements involving intellectual property. He regularly drafts and negotiates complex agreements.
Mr. Pankratz helps strategically craft and implement intellectual property protection programs for companies ranging in size from small start-ups to multinational corporations. He has personally drafted and filed over one hundred applications across diverse technologies and now actively assists clients with developing and managing patent portfolios.
Before attending law school, Mr. Pankratz worked as an engineer designing and implementing secure networked systems in conjunction with several government projects.
