Kyle A. Casazza

Kyle Casazza is a senior counsel in the Litigation Department. His practice focuses on all areas of commercial litigation as well as internal investigations. Kyle has represented major companies in a wide array of industries, including oil and gas, financial services, media and entertainment, sports, technology, and aerospace.

Representations include:

Counsel for Transocean during the first two phases of the landmark bench trial relating to the Deepwater Horizon tragedy in the Gulf of Mexico. Counsel for Rambus, Inc. in connection with its multi-billion dollar antitrust claims against two of the world’s largest computer memory manufacturers, Micron Technology, Inc. and Hynix Semiconductor, Inc. The trial set a record in San Francisco Superior Court for the length of jury deliberations (eight weeks), after which the jury returned a 9 to 3 verdict for defendants.

Counsel for Wells Fargo Bank in connection with a highly-publicized lawsuit filed by the Los Angeles City Attorney alleging that the bank has engaged in unlawful sales practices.

Counsel for an AmLaw 200 law firm in a dispute against its former litigation adversaries in which the trial court granted the firm’s anti-SLAPP motion to strike and entered a six-figure award in attorneys’ fees. The trial court’s decision was affirmed by the California Court of Appeal in a published opinion.

Counsel for television producer Conrad Riggs in his breach of partnership action in Los Angeles Superior Court against reality television mogul Mark Burnett and Mark Burnett Productions, producers of Survivor, The Apprentice, The Contender and many other successful shows. The case settled on confidential terms after three years of litigation.

Counsel for a major financial institution defending against a nine-figure breach of contract claim arising from a failed Las Vegas resort development.

Kyle has also participated in internal investigations of accidents in the aerospace industry.
