Kyle R. Woods

Kyle Woods concentrates his practice on matters related to both qualified plans and executive compensation. Kyle advises clients on matters related to qualified retirement plans, including pension, profit-sharing, 401(k) plans, as well as 403(b) plans, 457(b) plans, and other retirement and deferred compensation plans. He prepares new plans assists in maintaining compliance with new and existing legal requirements. Kyle also assists in correcting plan errors using the voluntary compliance programs provided by the IRS and DOL.

In matters of executive compensation, Kyle advises public companies on compliance with SEC disclosure rules and assists them in preparing public filings. He also advises clients with respect to benefits and executive compensation aspects of mergers and acquisitions and other corporate transactions. Kyle also assists clients with respect to executive deferred compensation arrangements, including compliance with Internal Revenue Code Section 409A.

Additionally, Kyle advises companies on compliance with SEC, IRS, and FAA rules regarding their policies related to personal use of corporate aircraft, including designing new executive aircraft usage policies. Kyle also assists companies with immigration matters, including compliance with E-Verify and I-9 requirements, and in securing immigration status key employees.

Kyle received his J.D., magna cum laude, from Brigham Young University.
