L. Kirk Nurmi is an excellent Criminal defense lawyer. Kirk grew up in the northwest. After graduating high school, through the help of his hard-working family and the money he earned working various jobs, Kirk was able to put himself through school. After receiving his undergraduate degrees he decided to get his Masters degree in Criminal Justice at Washington State University. After earning his Master's of Arts degree, Kirk worked as a counselor in a group home for delinquent youth, After that program closed,Kirk decided to pursue a law degree. Kirk attended the University of Wyoming College of Law. While in law school Kirk was chosen as the Student Director of the Defender Aid Clininc a position which provided him the opportunity to argue two cases in front of the Wyoming Supreme Court.

Immediately after graduating law school he was employed as a Law Clerk by the Office of the Maricopa County Public Defender. After passing the bar exam, Kirk became a Deputy Public Defender, during this time in his career, he defended hundreds of individuals against serious felony charges. Kirk defended sex crimes, manslaughter, murder, and almost every other crime in Arizona. Kirk has spent countless hours in the courtroom, Kirk has defended several persons at trial, and is extremely experienced.

Currently, Kirk is in private practice, as well as an Adjunct Professor at Arizona Summit School of Law. His practice concentrates on Criminal Defense in all Arizona justice, municipal, and state courts. In addition, over the last three years has placed a strong emphasis on major felony offenses.
