Lameke Cannon is a member of Venable's Investigations and White Collar Defense Group, where he advises and represents individuals and corporations in civil and criminal government enforcement actions and complex litigation.

Government Enforcement Actions: Mr. Cannon has advised and represented individuals and corporations in civil and criminal government enforcement actions including, actions brought by the Securities Exchange Commission, United States Attorney's Office and New York Attorney General's Office.

Internal Corporate Investigations: Mr. Cannon has conducted internal corporate investigations on behalf of corporate management, audit committees, and special committees of the board of directors for companies in the insurance, retail, financial services, and logistics industries.

Civil Litigation: Mr. Cannon handles all aspects of complex civil litigation in federal and state courts.

Mr. Cannon also does some work in the firm's Labor and Employment Group, where he serves clients' needs on a diverse array of labor relations and employment matters.

Significant Matters

Currently advising and defending a retail company in an investigation brought by the multiple State Attorney General offices.
Currently advising and defending two debt settlement companies in actions brought by the New York Attorney General’s Office for violations of consumer protection statues.
Recently represented a freight forwarding company in an action brought by the DOJ for export control violations.
Recently conducted an internal investigation for a bankruptcy trustee.

Activities
Mr. Cannon is a member of the New York County Lawyers Association Ethics Committee.
