Laura represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters, with a focus on class action litigation, employment litigation, energy litigation and financial services litigation. She has experience defending claims alleging violations of both federal and state employment discrimination laws, the Fair Labor Standards Act, federal consumer protection statutes, and several state consumer protection laws. She also has handled cases involving products liability, environmental litigation, commercial fraud, trade secrets, tortious interference and other business torts, contract disputes, and mineral rights disputes. Laura practices before both state and federal courts across the country. She has also handled appellate matters before the Illinois and Pennsylvania appellate courts and before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.

During law school, Laura was a judicial extern for the Honorable Amy J. St. Eve of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Prior to and during law school, Laura worked as a structural engineer. While completing her undergraduate degree at Northwestern University, she was a member of Alpha Lambda Delta and Gamma Sigma Alpha honor societies. She was also a part of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.
Laura has maintained a pro bono practice representing individuals in a variety of matters, including zoning disputes and applications for asylum. Her most significant pro bono accomplishment was attaining asylum—in contested U.S. Immigration Court trial—on behalf of a Southern Cameroonian mother who had been terrorized for her political affiliation.
