Laura Wytsma’s practice focuses on intellectual property proceedings in federal court, with an emphasis on patent and appellate litigation. In addition to intellectual property matters, Ms. Wytsma’s broad litigation experience includes representations involving claims for false advertising and Lanham Act violations; defamation; violation of privacy and publicity rights; telemarketing litigation; and complex commercial disputes.
Ms. Wytsma is actively involved in pro bono litigation and has represented over a dozen refugees seeking asylum from China, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Iran, Mexico, Russia, and Syria, as well as victims of domestic violence, in Immigration Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
