Laura’s practice emphasizes the areas of public finance and municipal law as well as public transportation and federal procurements. Ms. McAloon’s public finance practice includes public offerings and private placement offerings secured by general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, special assessment districts, revenue anticipation notes, lease financings, certificates of participation and commercial bank notes. In conjunction with such offerings, she advises clients on state law issues, federal tax matters for tax exempt offerings and federal securities laws governing municipal bonds, including the review of official statements and post-issuance compliance matters. In the area of general municipal law, Ms. McAloon frequently advises clients on compliance with federal procurement and bidding regulations, state and federal laws governing public transit systems and airports, federal and state constitutional matters, as well as open public meeting and open records laws and the multitude of other statutes and regulations that govern public entities. She serves as primary outside counsel and special to a number of local governments in Washington State.
