Lauren H. Zeldin practices primarily in the areas of employment discrimination and wage and hour litigation in federal and state courts and before various administrative agencies. She represents employers in claims involving:
Discrimination on the basis of race, sex, age, national origin, religion or disability
Harassment
Retaliation
Lauren has experience defending claims of discrimination brought against places of public accommodation, including claims brought pursuant to Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). She also has experience representing employers in connection with Rule 23 class actions, as well as collective actions filed pursuant to Section 216(b) of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
In addition to her litigation practice, Lauren regularly provides clients with day-to-day counseling and advice on a variety of employment issues, including:
Creating and implementing effective workplace policies and practices
Conducting meaningful investigations of complaints of harassment and discrimination
Conducting internal wage and hour audits
Correctly classifying employees under the FLSA
Lauren represents employers in connection with audits and on-site investigations conducted by government agencies, such as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department of Labor and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs.
