Lauren Coapstick is counsel in the real estate group. Ms. Coapstick focuses her practice on real estate acquisition, development, financing, leasing and disposition, as well as asset-based financing. She has experience representing lenders, investors, developers, landlords and tenants in connection with all aspects of real estate matters, including land acquisition, development, and construction loans.
Significant Matters
Ms. Coapstick regularly assists with complex real estate transactions, including the acquisition and construction financing of office portfolios, multifamily housing developments, sales of residential lots to home builders in transit-oriented developments, and condominiumization of multifamily projects.
Ms. Coapstick represents institutional and conduit lenders on loans secured by first and second mortgages. Her real estate lending experience includes loans for acquisition, construction and development, and permanent financing. She also represents lenders on mezzanine and asset based loan transactions, secured by pledges of partnership or membership interests and receivables. Her leasing experience includes representing both landlords and tenants nationwide.
Activities
Ms. Coapstick performs pro bono work on behalf of Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia, community arts organizations and non-profit groups in Northern Virginia. She is also a member of the American Bar Association.
