Lawrence E. Rifken leads the firm's Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. Region Business Reorganization and Bankruptcy Practice. Larry concentrates his practice in the area of bankruptcy and corporate restructuring with an emphasis upon commercial bankruptcy, commercial workouts and real estate workouts. He has wide-ranging experience in the representation of debtors, creditors, creditors' committees, financial institutions, venture capital funds, investors and acquirers in all areas of bankruptcy and workout-related work as well as experience in fraud cases, Ponzi scheme cases and leading fraud and forensic investigations. In addition, Larry regularly serves as clients' designated representative on creditors' committees and he has served as chairman of five national committees. He has also served as a plan administrator and liquidating trustee.
