Leezie Kim's grandfather named her with a poetic combination of two Chinese symbols — "beauty" and "clarity and wisdom" — translated into Korean.
The vice president and general counsel for Fox Restaurant Concepts acknowledges that set the bar pretty high.
The national law firm of Quarles & Brady LLP today announced that Leezie Kim, a partner in the firm’s Phoenix office, has been named one of the 25 Most Influential Minority Business Leaders in Arizona by AZ Business magazine, a print edition of AZ Big Media.
The 25 Most Influential Minority Business Leaders in Arizona are influential minority business leaders selected in consultation with the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Phoenix Black Chamber of Commerce and Black Board of Directors Project. The full list of honorees will be published in the March issue of AZ Business magazine.
Kim is a partner in the Corporate Services Group. Her practice focuses on helping businesses grow and succeed, advising on strategic domestic and international business transactions, particularly in the higher education, health care, semiconductor and restaurant industries. She returned to the firm following four years of service as a White House appointee to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and as general counsel to Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano. She uses that experience to help businesses and government work better together. To that end, she serves as the Vice Chair of the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Aviation Advisory Committee, utilizing her business and airport security background at one of the country’s most busy airports. She also serves on the Advisory Board of Arizona State University’s Center for Emergency Management and Homeland Security.
