MILWAUKEE- Leslie Tector has been named vice president and general counsel for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, effective June 6, 2016.

Tector will lead the Legal, Risk Management and Corporate Insurance teams. She will oversee legal matters throughout Children’s and all of its entities by assessing and ensuring that all legal issues are managed in accordance with applicable law and regulation. She will also work closely with senior leaders and the Board of Directors to ensure a variety of legal and risk situations are addressed appropriately.

“Leslie’s legal and business experience and skills are an excellent match for our organization and will complement the breadth and depth of talent in our Legal Services department,” said Michelle Mettner, corporate vice president of Government and Legal Affairs.

Tector has more than 20 years experience providing legal counsel to health care entities and industry leaders. She comes to Children’s from Quarles & Brady LLP, and prior to that she worked with other law firms and health care organizations in the greater Milwaukee area. She received her law degree from Boston College Law School and a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Georgetown University.
