Lillian Chaves Moon

Lillian Chaves Moon focuses her practice primarily on representing employers in Federal and state courts, administrative forums, and in arbitration, including actions involving harassment and discrimination, retaliation and wrongful discharge, whistleblower actions, wage and hour claims, breach of contract, tortious interference, non-compete claims, and state tort issues arising from the employment relationship. A significant portion of her practice is also dedicated to counseling clients on workplace privacy policies and practices, including data breach, HIPAA privacy and security issues, and written information security programs. Lillian also has significant experience in assisting clients to comply with Federal and state electronic signature requirements when implementing electronic application and onboarding systems. Additionally, she also advises employers on workplace safety and health issues, represents employers during all aspects of OSHA inspections, investigations, citations, settlement negotiations, and hearings, and assists with preventative practices such as conducting audits and creating workplace safety programs.

Lillian also provides clients with day-to-day advice and counseling to afford the best and most practical solutions companies can implement in an effort to avoid litigation and address employment issues as they arise, including but not limited to, workplace investigations, independent contractors, joint employer relationships, disability accommodations and leave management, discipline and performance review, severance agreements, reductions in force, and policy and procedure review. She regularly provides training to management employees on all aspects of employment law and represents companies in a variety of industries including construction, manufacturing, insurance, utilities, education, restaurant, retail, hospitality, mortgage, and home healthcare, among others.
