Lindsay Dennis Swiger is an associate in Holland & Knight's Jacksonville office. She represents employers with respect to labor and employment matters, including age, race, sex, national origin, pregnancy, disability and religious discrimination claims in proceedings at the local, state and federal levels. Ms. Swiger also handles claims arising out of employment agreements and covenants not to compete, advice and counsel to human resource professionals about personnel issues, preparation of employment agreements and employee handbooks, union avoidance, unfair labor practice charges, arbitration and collective bargaining.

In the labor area, Ms. Swiger represents employers in connection with union avoidance, unfair labor practice charges, arbitration and collective bargaining. She has experience defending against wage and hour actions arising under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), including collective and class actions, and investigations brought by the Department of Labor. In addition, Ms. Swiger has represented clients in claims brought under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act dealing with public accommodations.

Ms. Swiger counsels and defends management clients in matters arising out of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), and numerous state and local laws.
