Lisa S. Wren

Lisa S. Wren represents financial institutions and corporations in a wide variety of commercial credit transactions, including multi-lender agented credit facilities to publicly traded, multinational corporate groups, middle market loans to private businesses, schools and healthcare facilities (physician practice groups, hospitals, nursing homes, CCRCs and assisted living facilities), acquisition facilities, loans to private equity sponsored companies, asset-based loans incorporating complex borrowing base formulations, bond financings including direct purchases, intercompany loans, letter of credit facilities, agricultural loans, mezzanine loans and commercial and construction mortgages.

Lisa counsels clients daily on a broad range of legal issues, including providing advice on structuring facilities, drafting and negotiating loan documentation, mortgages, intercreditor agreements and triparty control agreements, leading cross-office teams, analyzing lien perfection best practices, coordinating the smooth closing of transactions, researching special regulatory and contract issues and reviewing corporate, real estate and acquisition due diligence.

Prior to joining Clark Hill, Lisa held positions with an AmLaw 100 and an AmLaw 200 firm, where she secured credit transactions with a broad range of collateral, including health care insurance receivable, cable and television licenses and franchises, certificated and uncertificated investment property, third party deposit and brokerage accounts, intellectual property, trust assets and fixtures. Following law school, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable R. Barry McAndrews of the Pennsylvania Court of Common Pleas, where she gained valuable insight into the resolution of business disputes at the trial court level.

During law school, Lisa was a Managing Editor of the Villanova Law Review, where she edited academic articles for publication, organized the annual “hot topic” symposium and successfully published her article “United States v. Cheeley: Leaving the Back Door Open for Arbitrary Death Sentencing.” Lisa continues to write and speak on current topics in her field.

In 2009 and 2010, Lisa was honored by her peers and named to the New Jersey Rising Stars® list, which represents only the top 2.5 percent of lawyers in New Jersey. She was also named a “Top 40 Under 40” lawyer by the New Jersey Law Journal.
