Lloyd Winawer, a partner in Goodwin Procter's Securities Litigation & White Collar Defense Group, has been recognized as a Northern California “Super Lawyer” for his work on complex litigation and arbitration with a focus on securities and investment-related disputes. His work includes shareholder class actions, derivative lawsuits, M&A litigation, ERISA litigation, and SEC investigations and enforcement proceedings. He also represents clients in matters involving claims for breach of contract, misrepresentation, violation of consumer protection statutes, unfair competition and other business torts.
Mr. Winawer’s practice is national in scope. He has represented corporations and individual clients in more than 50 shareholder class action and derivative cases in federal and state courts throughout the country, including actions brought in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, Nevada, Texas and Utah. Mr. Winawer successfully obtained the dismissal with prejudice of the claims in several of these cases.
