Louis M. Solomon is Global Co-Head of the firm’s International Litigation Practice. He is an internationally recognized trial lawyer, having tried over 50 complex commercial cases to judges, juries, and arbitral or governmental bodies. Lou has extensive experience in acting as lead trial counsel in international disputes or controversies affecting multinational companies operating across the globe, including in over a dozen 9-10 figure litigated controversies. Lou has served as lead trial counsel in private and class action cases as well as government and regulatory proceedings.

Lou writes and lectures extensively. He is a co-author of Business and Commercial Litigation in Federal Courts, 3d and of Commercial Litigation in New York State Courts, Third Edition, seminal works featuring contributions from 145 experts. He is often quoted or featured in national and international broadcast and print media, such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Fox Business, and National Public Radio. A recipient of the 2006 Burton Award for Excellence in Legal Writing, he is former editor of, and contributor to, the "Law, Ethics, and Gender" column of the peer-reviewed journal of Gender Medicine. Most recently, he was appointed to the Lawyers Committee of the National Center for State Courts (NCSC).
