Luann Simmons is Managing Partner of O’Melveny’s San Francisco office and a member of the Intellectual Property and Technology Practice within the Litigation Department. Before attending law school, Luann worked for several years as a software developer and software development manager. Luann uses her strong background in physics and computer science to assist the firm’s technology clients in the enforcement, defense and litigation of patent, trade secret, copyright, and other intellectual property rights. The Recorder recently named Luann to its list of "Women Leaders in Tech Law" and the Profiles in Diversity Journal recognized Luann as one of its "Women Worth Watching" in 2013. Luann has also been named a “Super Lawyer” in intellectual property litigation for several years in surveys conducted by Law & Politics Media Inc. and published in San Francisco Magazine and the Northern California edition of Super Lawyers.
