Luke Andrews maintains a broad commercial litigation and trial practice, with lead counsel experience in jury trials, federal appeals, and arbitration and administrative hearings. His substantive experience includes: products liability and personal injury matters; trade secret, unfair competition, and restrictive covenant matters; complex commercial disputes, including construction, commercial real estate, federal and state securities, and corporate governance; representation of health care providers seeking authorization to provide or commence the operation of health care facilities in the state of Georgia; and consumer litigation, including consumer class actions.
Luke works extensively with expert witnesses in varied disciplines, both assisting experts for Jones Day clients and challenging opponents' experts, and is versed in the substantive law and practical considerations surrounding expert witnesses. Since 2003, Luke has devoted much of his practice to working with and against experts in such fields as psychology and neuropsychology, toxicology, epidemiology, pediatric medicine, health care planning, analytical chemistry, and microscopy — including expert discovery and discovery disputes, Daubert motions, and many expert depositions and trial examinations.
Luke has written and lectured (with Jones Day partner David Monde) on the law of employee raiding in Georgia and on trade secret law. He also has served as a guest faculty member for the Kessler-Eidson Trial Techniques Program at the Emory University School of Law.
