Lucius practices in the areas of wealth transfers, estate planning, estate and trust administration, and related tax areas. He has lectured at the University of Virginia on estate planning and at various continuing legal education programs. He received a BS degree, with honors, in 1961 from North Carolina State College and an LLB degree from the University of Virginia in 1967, where he was on the editorial board of the Virginia Law Review and a member of the Order of the Coif.
Lucius is a fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, and serves as counsel to, and on the board of, several tax-exempt organizations, both large and small.
While earning his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University, Lucius was honored as a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Tau Beta Pi.
