Maria Sendra is a member of Dentons' Corporate practice. She has built an emerging technologies and markets practice that leverages capital markets and technology relationships in key jurisdictions around the world to scale innovation globally. She has managed international teams of more than 500 experts in helping to scale startups, as well as assisting the efforts of Fortune 500 companies, venture capital, private equity and investment banks to disrupt a wide variety of industries. Her experience spans sectors including data analytics, energy, cleantech, biotechnology, digital health care, social media, consumer goods, retail, e-commerce sales and scaled revenue strategies.

Maria has structured and managed domestic and international alliances and businesses linking California innovation to financial markets in New York, London, continental Europe, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East.

In the US, Maria has worked on numerous venture capital and private equity transactions and has managed more than 50 initial and secondary public offerings on the Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). She also has extensive experience working on Securities and Exchange Commission compliance; corporate governance; antitakeover strategies; complex licensing; mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures; and collaborations in research and development, manufacturing, international commercialization and distribution.

Maria is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Valencian and she has studied German. She has a background in molecular biophysics and biochemistry. She ran a research lab as a student at Yale University and worked as a filmmaker at Harvard University.
