Maria Wyckoff Boyce is a senior partner in the litigation department and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. She recently tried a patent infringement case for a major oil field services company to a Dallas federal court jury; arbitrated a significant environmental dispute for a major energy company; and tried a trade secrets case for a major consulting firm to a Houston federal court jury. She has also tried patent infringement cases to juries in Delaware and California and has tried commercial, fraud, products liability, personal injury, and employment cases to Texas juries in state and federal court. She has also handled several high-profile employee benefits cases. Ms. Boyce’s work has resulted in dozens of published opinions. Her trial results have been recognized in the American Lawyer, the National Law Journal’s “Top 100 Verdicts of 2012,” and, most recently, the Texas Lawyer’s “2013 IP Litigation Department of the Year.” She was also named one of Texas’ Top 50 Women Lawyers in 2013.
Ms. Boyce is married to Justice Bill Boyce of the Fourteenth Court of Appeals, Houston.
