Mark Holton is a veteran litigator who has handled all manner of business disputes and complex commercial and financial matters. Subjects have included securities litigation, class action defense, RICO, insurance/reinsurance, accounting malpractice, legal malpractice and First Amendment law. Settings have included federal and state courts, bankruptcy court, arbitral forums and mediation.

He has over twenty-five years of experience, having served as a partner of Stone, Pigman, Walther & Wittman LLP in New Orleans, thereafter as a partner for eight years in the New York office of the global law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, and most recently as a partner with Grais & Ellsworth LLP in New York. Clients have included investment banks, insurance brokers, insurance and reinsurance firms, accounting firms, consulting firms, law firms, the federal government, and major news media organizations.

He graduated from the University of Virginia Law School where he served on the Law Review and was awarded Order of the Coif. He also graduated from Harvard College, cum laude. Immediately following law school, Mark clerked for the Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana, the late Honorable Morey L. Sear.

Mark is licensed in New York and Louisiana and has been admitted to the following federal courts: the Southern District of New York; the Eastern District of Louisiana; the Middle District of Louisiana; and the Western District of Louisiana. He has appeared in state and federal courts in New York, Louisiana, Connecticut, California, Washington, Delaware, Maryland, Indiana, Alabama, Texas, Colorado and Nevada.
