Mark F. Parise

Mark Parise advises clients on a variety of governance, regulatory compliance and transactional issues involving mutual funds, closed end funds, private equity and hedge funds. With a comprehensive background and in-depth knowledge of fiduciary obligations, securities regulations and issues arising under the Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act, Mark acts as counsel to a wide scope of clients including independent directors of some of the largest fund complexes, registered and unregistered funds and investment advisers.

Mark has significant experience negotiating material service contracts and is well versed in the area of director and officer liability, at both state and federal levels. He provides counsel regarding related indemnification and insurance matters, including director and officer liability insurance coverage analysis and dispute resolution.

Actively committed to supporting pro bono initiatives involving military veterans, Mark serves as an accredited representative of veterans before the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. He has also been honored by the New York State Bar Association as an Empire State Counsel Honoree for his longstanding dedication to pro bono on behalf of veterans.
