Dr. Mathew Easterday is an associate in the Palo Alto office of Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, where he is a member of the patent and innovation strategies practice.
Prior to joining the firm, Matt was an assistant professor of biology at St. Olaf College, worked as a consultant for a biotech start-up company, and was a scientist in a core facility at the University of Minnesota, where he set up an array CGH lab.
Matt conducted his doctoral research at the University of California, Los Angeles, in the Interdepartmental Program for Neuroscience, where he studied stem cell genetics. He also held postdoctoral fellowships at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, studying cardiac and neural developmental genetics, and at the University of Minnesota, studying developmental neurobiology and genomic abnormalities associated with autism.
During law school, Matt externed for the Honorable Franklin L. Noel, Magistrate Judge, District of Minnesota.
