Matt focuses on assisting clients in all phases of drafting and negotiating agreements for energy infrastructure and public construction projects and the sale and purchase of companies. His experience includes preparing documents for inclusion in RFPs and auctions, assisting in bid analysis, and negotiating with successful bidders.

Prior to joining the firm, Matt spent five years on active duty as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army with the 82nd Airborne Division and the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard). His service included combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan.

Matt serves as the co-chair of the Virginia Bar Associations’ Veterans Task Force and helps to lead the firm’s veterans pro bono outreach.
