Matthew Allen is an attorney in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group in Seyfarth Shaw LLP's, Atlanta office. He represents clients in complex litigation matters including commercial and construction matters. Matt also has extensive experience representing pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in product liability lawsuits.

Prior to joining Seyfarth Shaw LLP, Matt spent a year in the Republic of Georgia where he advised businesses, investors, and various stakeholders on matching private equity and debt financing with development projects. He also represented minority shareholder interests in negotiations for stock purchase and operating agreements; advised clients on compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act; and represented clients in contract negotiations with international financing institutions, e.g. Ex-Im Bank, OPIC, EBRD, USAID, etc., and pertinent government ministries. His work resulted in his being selected as a “Rising Star” in Business/Corporate Law in Georgia Super Lawyers 2012 by his peers.
