Matthew McCoy is a junior associate in King & Spalding’s Silicon Valley Corporate Practice Group. Mr. McCoy recently moved from King & Spalding’s Atlanta office to concentrate on venture capital financings and venture start-ups. He now works on venture start-up matters in several industries and all stages of development through acquisition or IPO. Mr. McCoy also has experience representing public and private companies and private equity funds in corporate matters, including M&A transactions, leveraged buyout transactions, joint ventures, sophisticated technology transactions and general corporate matters, such as assisting with public company disclosure issues, corporate governance, and compliance with federal securities laws.
Mr. McCoy earned his Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Legal Center, with honors. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University. Mr. McCoy is admitted to practice in Georgia and has applied for admission to the California State Bar.
