Max Welsh is deputy general counsel with Foley & Lardner LLP. As deputy general counsel, Mr. Welsh advises Foley and its lawyers with respect to a wide variety of professional responsibility, ethics, regulatory, and compliance issues. Mr. Welsh also directs the firm’s staff, processes, and technology associated with new business intake, conflict of interest analysis, and client engagement.
Prior to his role as Foley’s deputy general counsel, Mr. Welsh was an associate with Foley in the Securities Enforcement & Litigation Practice and also served as special counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in the Office of Chief Counsel, Division of Trading and Markets.
