Mehdi Khodadad is a partner in the Cooley LLP Business department. He joined the Firm in 2004 and is resident in the Palo Alto office.
Mr. Khodadad's practice focuses on the representation of emerging technology and life sciences companies and the venture capital and private equity firms that invest in those companies. As a specialist in corporate and securities law, Mr. Khodadad has counseled company clients, entrepreneurs and investors in a wide variety of transactions, including start-up formations, spin-off transactions, a variety of private and public financings, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border international business transactions, technology acquisition and licensing matters and SEC reporting and compliance matters.
Mr. Khodadad received a JD from Santa Clara University School of Law in May 2004, where he was awarded the High Tech Law Certificate in intellectual property law. While in law school, Mr. Khodadad served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Santa Clara Computer & High Technology Law Journal. He has also served on the Board of Advisors of Santa Clara University's High Tech Law Institute and its law school's Strategic Planning Committee. Mr. Khodadad received a BA in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1998.
He is a member of the State Bar of California and the American Bar Association.
