Melinda is the director of Pro Bono Engagement for the firm, working on cases and organizing and expanding the firm's public interest practice. Previously, Melinda practiced commercial litigation, concentrating on complex multidistrict litigation, antitrust litigation on behalf of plaintiffs, and pro bono work, among other things, in defense of abused women and children and the rights of LGBT people. In addition to her work at the firm, Melinda teaches law to undergraduates and masters students at the University of Pennsylvania.

Melinda currently teaches Introduction to Law and the Legal Process at The Wharton School, and Social Policy and the Law in the School of Social Policy and Practice. Melinda received her law degree from Harvard Law School and her undergraduate degree from Brown University.
