Melissa Steedle Bogad is an associate in the firm’s Newark, New Jersey office and focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation.
Ms. Bogad has been involved in the litigation of a variety of matters before New Jersey state trial and appellate courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Districts of New Jersey and Delaware, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Southern District of New York, state and federal administrative agencies, as well as various arbitrators and mediators. Ms. Bogad has litigation experience in a variety of types of cases, including patent infringement, consumer class actions, employment matters, insurance coverage, product liability, real estate development, maritime, breach of contract, fraud, business torts, and other complex commercial disputes.
Ms. Bogad has performed work on behalf of firm clients such as Abbott Laboratories, Anchen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., Aurobindo Pharma USA, Inc., Barr Laboratories, C.R. Bard, Inc., DAVA Pharmaceuticals, LG Electronics USA, Inc., LVMH Moet Hennessey, Maher Terminals, LLC, Otsuka America Pharmaceutical, Inc., Philip Morris, Sears, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, United Fixtures Company, Inc., Verizon, and Wells Fargo.
Ms. Bogad received a B.F.A. in a double major of Theatre, with honors, and English in 2001 from New York University, Tisch School of the Arts. She received a J.D., magna cum laude, in 2006 from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif and served as an articles editor for the Cardozo Law Review.
