Michael Platt's practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, representing clients in a wide range of matters at both the trial and appellate levels. His experience includes business and contract disputes, securities class actions, shareholder lawsuits, and product liability claims.

Michael recently served as second chair representing The Timken Company in a two-week jury trial (The Timken Company v. Robert Bosch LLC, No. 08-00272 (N.D. Ohio)), in which Timken asserted breach of contract claims against Bosch relating to the purchase of automotive front-wheel hub assemblies. The trial resulted in a complete victory for Timken, with the jury awarding Timken all past damages for Bosch's breaches of contract. The court later ordered that Timken was entitled to declaratory judgment regarding future performance of the contract.

Michael also has experience in commercial arbitration. He recently was part of a team that won several major arbitration awards from panels of the American Arbitration Association.

Michael is an adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Law, where he teaches complex litigation. He also serves on the board of directors of Dress For Success Cleveland.
