Michael represents companies engaged in the development, construction, financing, acquisition and disposition of solar, wind and other alternative energy projects. Michael was previously a member of the Firm's bankruptcy and restructuring practice, primarily representing various unsecured and secured creditors.
Representative Matters

Represented a fund managed by Ullico Inc. in connection with an approximately US$75 million investment in the Neptune regional transmission line. The Neptune transmission line is a 65-mile, 660 MW high-voltage direct-current submarine cable connecting New Jersey and Long Island, New York.
Represented the sponsor in the negotiation of a Turbine Supply Agreement and O&M Agreement in connection with the development of two wind projects with a combined capacity of 450 MW.
Represented the borrower in connection with a US$600 million term loan B facility and a US$210 million revolving credit facility, secured by a portfolio of 17 power generation facilities located throughout the US and Canada.
Represented former Bankruptcy Judge Arthur J. Gonzalez as the court-appointed Examiner in the Residential Capital, LLC chapter 11 cases.
Represented the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Tribune Company chapter 11 cases.
Represented financial institutions and other creditors in the TOUSA, Inc. and Caribbean Petroleum Corp. bankruptcy cases.
